Cameron Crawford
Owner, Certified Senior Advisor, Placement Specialist
Sitting at her preschooler’s soccer game, Cameron's life shifted when her mom disclosed her Alzheimer's diagnosis. Cameron was instantly inducted into the Sandwich Generation “Club” alongside 2.5 million other family caregivers in the US. She grappled with the dual responsibility of caring for her elderly parent and raising young children. The diagnosis plunged her family into chaos, leaving her feeling profoundly isolated.
In her quest to find suitable care for her mother, Cameron recognized the complex challenges involved in developing a comprehensive plan. This realization led her to commit full-time to simplifying the overwhelming process.
Armed with a non-profit background, an MBA, and a fervent dedication to caring for both the caregiver and elderly parent, Cameron founded Next Steps Senior Placement. Serving as a steadfast companion for those navigating the emotional journey of transitioning loved ones from home, the organization reflects her commitment.
Acknowledging the need for a knowledgeable guide, Cameron works closely with clients, streamlining the search for communities that match their budget, care needs, and desired locations, saving families valuable research time.
Driven by a passion for assisting families and alleviating the stress of this challenging period, Cameron adds a personal touch to her role. A Certified Senior Advisor and 2021-2023 President of the Colorado Placement and Referral Alliance, she actively contributes to the local senior care community. Featured on PBS's "Empowered Seniors" and the creator of her engaging Facebook Group, "Aging Parent Tribe - Denver," Cameron believes a challenging caregiver crisis can foster a beautiful community and provide strength, education, and support while offering a free service for families to find the best senior living options.
